A Boy and His Dog

Q requests that we leave his door open with every light imaginable on when he goes to bed now. He says he's scared and we comply- at least until he is out. Lately, Corduroy has been starting the night at the end of Q's bed. Apparently it makes Q very sad when Munchie jumps down and joins us later in the night. He told me that we can close his door so as to "lock" Corduroy in. I told him that we could do that but that he wouldn't be able to see the hall light if we did. He very quickly stated that we can push the button on the back of his Dory light to get it to stay on so he won't be scared with the door closed. I thought it was super cute that he was so willing to give up the light to have Munch stay with him.

Here they are at the beginning of the night last night- this didn't last long

And here they are in the middle of family picture night

Scottsdale

I had a week off between jobs so we headed to Scottsdale (of course). We were on the hunt for shooting stars as Q has taken quite an interest in the night sky. The Four Seasons in Scottsdale has an astronomer onsite so we figured that would be the perfect place to see some cool stuff. The moon was huge which was cool in and of itself but it made it really hard to see stars. We didn't see any shooting stars but we did see a ton of crickets. Completely unrelated but I'd say it made up for it.

Q was beyond excited that this chair positioned his feet on the table.
