Isla’s secret code
Isla and I started reading her first chapter books. She chose Nancy Clancy which is like Nancy Drew for the littles. In the book, there is a secret code that Nancy uses to talk to her bff. As soon as she saw it, Isla ran downstairs to get a pen so we could decide the message. This wasn’t necessary because the story told you what it said but we de-coded on. Sorta. I changed the letters as I read them out to Isla so the message said “keep reading Isla.”
She.lost.her.mind!
It was so cute. She was so excited and confused and definitely wants to to keep reading!

Big Kid Thursday
The bigs joined me on my run today. It was insane. Then they were so hot after that they went “skinny-diving” which means swimming in their undies. The only way to follow that up is with sushi outside for dinner.

Stuck in the giant bean bags
We keep these to break Q’s falls when he falls out of his bed. Kap loves to crawl on them to get onto the bunk and wreck havoc. One day he got stuck. He was not pleased. Isla re-enacted it and thought she was the shit. You be the judge...

Wednesdays are for burritos on the beach
We stopped to get burritos on the walk down to the beach. This crew was all smiles and is going to sleep good tonight! Can’t wait to join them after my last call tonight at 8:30....

Stolen comfy-cozy spot
Isla takes her comfy-cozy spots very seriously. Corduroy was totally into this one and completely claimed it. I was shocked that Isla allowed it.
