I made the decision that this was going to be a fully positive experience for Q. I really, really want him to like school and learning and all that good stuff so I vowed no tears and we were both (mostly) successful. All the prep and aftermath and talks about school and how how's it's going to be and and why it's great and important and how did it go's only gave us something else to bond over and experience together. He did great; he wasn't a fan of nap time and the second day he had some sad moments but overall his great teachers said he was doing wonderfully. I am so happy with the decision we made and can't wait to see what lies in store for Our Little Mang this school year. He is a curious, strong, creative little dude and I think he's gunna soar.
Bring on the germs, the lost goods (we are already down one Apple Doggy and a sheet), the stinky lunch boxes, messy clothes and piles of art!
And if he doesn't soar quite yet- we'll try again next year 😏
The aftermath- messy and happy
We went to get ice cream to talk all about it after
Then went to "ala casa" aka La Costa aka his favorite place for a special dinner. He was exhausted but definitely felt special.
Boosch was so cute. All day she walked around holding her palms up with a curious look on her face. She knew something was missing and was so happy to have her bro home
