Just to be sure

I was going through pics and saw this and couldn’t remember if I posted it so I had to put it here just in case because it is just too good and so 2021.

This is a common view and I hope I never forget these massive mix of emotions these moments bring. I do remember that I’m trying desperately to hold it together while presenting to a group of people about out org structure in Mexico. And I’m pretty sure I have the cutest toddler in all the lands.

While Isla danced, the boys shopped

First competition in the books!

“Sea Cruise” and “Love You, Need You” both got High Gold awards and “Love You, Need You” got third place overall for their age. I’d say that’s pretty amazing!!!

The best part you ask? She had a blast and can’t wait to do it again!

Always so proud of this one

You should have seen how excited she was that she got the cream to stand up like this

Look at that smile!!

1st competition prep

This “extra practice” turned into “team bonding” more than anything and it was just what these girls needed.

Even Kap bonded with the bros!

Everything is fun with them

Well, to be fair, everything is also very challenging with them but at least when I look back at photos like this, I remember the fun more that the frustration. I hope that sticks- especially as they get older.

Quote of the Kap

First one! He started talking in sentences this week and it is amazing!!

The scene: he came up to visit me in Camp Covid. He always closes the door when he comes in and has a lot to say and a very serious look on his face.

Kap: dad no make popcorn and Mimis. No hot drink.
Me: did you eat your dinner?
Kap: no, it not good.
Me: do you want a hotdog?
Kap: yes, tell dad make that now

About 30 minutes later he comes back up and climbs into bed with me.

Me: did you have a good day Kap?
Kap: no, Isla (or as he says. A-A) ruin my day
Me: oh no, what happened?
Kap: A-A be mean, A-A hurt me with hand

I take him to his room and brush his teeth.
Kap: no! Stop! You ruin my day!!!

Apparently he is learning about days being ruined- fitting given everything go on around here lately. And tattling!

It’s still so fun to hear him talk so much and stick up for himself whether it’s a “no good” dinner or his sister not being nice. Can’t wait to see what else he has to say!

some pics of our little chatterbox:

It’s the leg-cross for me

And then there was one

It’s lonely in Camp Covid these days

At least this little go-between pops up to say hi every now and then- and show me his TeeTee’s.

Oh! And a sweet friend made us homemade food which has never tasted better after 9 days of takeout!

She brought cookies too :)
