My Little Abe Lincoln

Q has been practicing and practicing his songs and lines for his performance all about America. It’s been on my calendar for weeks! I left work early, rushed home, packed him a snack, packed up up the fam and got to the school 15
Min early. I even brought him a red, white and blue shirt because in between BG texts, the nurse let us know that he had destroyed the one we sent him in. However, we were actually 15 minutes late and missed all but the last 20 seconds. I was so bummed. I was there to give him a squeeze as he walked down the isle  with the biggest smile on his face when it was over. He kept asking me how he did- he even had a solo speaking part on the mike and wanted feedback!!! I couldn’t lie. I had to tell him what happened. Thankfully, PK was able to find someone who had a video of the entire thing- including his part!! That helped a bit but this one still stings.

All that aside, I am so proud of him! He was so brave to volunteer and so prepared and so cute! After his part, you could hear a few “awes” from the audience.

You are so very adored Q. Keep up being amazing little you.
